Bob Dylan Way is coming to Duluth and folks are excited. The annual celebration in Duluth of the Duluth Dylan Fest is a Minnesota favorite. Dylan was born in Duluth back in May of 1941, so it’s a must-see celebration every year.

The concert tour is taking place this May for a week and will be celebrated at different spots around town including Tycoons Alehouse and Eatery, the Duluth Armory, Red Herring and Red Mug Coffeehouse. Here are some of the highlights you’ll have to check out for this spring’s Bob Dylan Way.

It may be somewhat of a challenge to think about boating when the temperature outside is cold enough to freeze tight the trunk of your car, but the organizers of this year’s Duluth Boat, Sports, Travel & RV Show want you to give it a try.

Happening this Wednesday, February 18th, through Sunday, February 22nd, at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, this year’s show promises to offer something for everyone. If you’re in the market for an RV, a boat, a plot of land for hunting or a motorcycle, this is the place to shop.

The show features upwards of 200 exhibitors trying to hawk their hunting and fishing vacation packages, camping equipment and the latest fishing gear.

Finding a place for cross-country skiing in Duluth isn't hard. There are several trail systems to choose from. Some are better for beginners, while others fit well for the advanced skier. Here are the top trail systems for cross-country skiing in Duluth.

Hartley Park

This park provides wooded loops through neighborhoods. There is a full five kilometer of double-tracked classic trails, as well. The outer loop includes more hills than then inner loop, which is perfect for families and beginners. You can even snowshoe here on Superior Hiking Trail.

Magney-Snively

A 13-kilometer trail with a classic track and a skating lane, this track is perfect for all types of skiers. It winds through Snively Park to Magney Park with many beautiful views.

Minnesota and her various cities frequently make “best of” lists every year. Last year, however, Kiplinger’s performed a study of state taxes to determine which 10 states retirees, or those on the cusp of retirement, should avoid and Minnesota came in at number 4.

It turns out that we are one of five states that taxes Social Security income the same way the federal government does – up to 85 percent. All pensions, regardless of source (yes, even military) are taxed and, although food, prescription medications and clothing aren’t taxed at the state level, some cities and counties tack on their own tax on these items.
