Duluth provides both Enger Park and Lester Park with golf courses for all golfers to enjoy. Both facilities provide 27 holes with beautiful views of Lake Superior. Here's what you can expect at both courses.

Enger Park Golf Course

Found just south of downtown, the Enger Park Golf Course is set on a high bluff. It provides beautiful views of the Duluth Harbor and has been around since 1927. The course provides three distinct nines with different styles. They range from about 3,150 to 3,400 yards in length and provide plenty of variety for frequent golfers.

You will find four sets of tees, which makes this course friendly for all skill levels. Each nine is unique with a links, traditional and parkland style layout for all to enjoy.

Our friends over the bridge in Superior can tell us what it’s like to battle a nasty infestation of the emerald ash borer. They’ve been at war with the pest for two years now. Although it hasn’t yet been detected in Duluth, officials here are keeping an eye out and claim it may just be a matter of time. In other words, they aren’t wondering if the beetle will invade Duluth, but when the war will begin.

 “What we know is that emerald ash borer is a death sentence, basically, for all North American ash trees,” Minnesota Department of Agriculture entomologist Mark Abrahamson told’s Kati Anderson.

The city is home to about 3,000 boulevard ash trees so there’s a valid concern that they may, someday, have to be removed. The City of

Every year we notice that as we get closer to summer, events in Duluth start to come at us fast and furiously. While we can’t highlight every May event, we’ve picked out a few things we think you might be interested in hearing about.

Enroll the Kids in Summer Camp in Duluth MN

You’ll find a slew of summer camp programs for Duluth kids so it might be hard to choose just one. Just our opinion, but Day Camp Kitchigami is one of the best for kids that love being outdoors. Sponsored by Duluth Area Family YMCA Camping Services, it serves kids from ages 4 to 15 and it’s located right here in Duluth, at Chester Bowl Park.

Big Top Chautauqua is the concert venue of Lake Superior with the top shows and performances going on all year round. The Big Top Tent is located at 32525 Ski Hill Road in Bayfield, WI, home of the nonprofit performing arts organization of Lake Superior. You can check out concerts in a 900-seat state-of-the-art all-canvas tent theater. 

They produce and present over 50 nights of shows, concerts, plays and lectures during the summer season. You can also check out the acclaimed local troupe performing musicals in the tent during their tours. If you’re ready for a summer full of concerts, head out to the Big Top Chautauqua at Lake Superior.
