3 Ways to Spend New Year’s Eve 2015/2016 in Duluth

Everybody gets so busy planning for the December holidays that they seem to forget that huge celebration we have on the last day of the month. Yup, New Year’s Eve sneaks up on a lot of us so we’ve decided to do something about it.

While the following list in no way covers everything going on in our amazing Duluth, it should be good enough to help you get started making your plans.

Head over the bridge

Have an amazing celebration and support a worthy cause at Behind the Mask, a New Year’s Eve Gala at Barker’s Island Inn in Superior. The fun starts at 7 p.m. and you’ll enjoy live music, hors d’ oeuvres, a silent auction, champagne toast and more.

Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Proceeds benefit the Center for Sexual and Domestic Abuse. Get tickets online, here.

Spend it with Ol’ Blue Eyes

What better way to spend New Year’s Eve than An Evening with Sinatra at Symphony Hall? The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra performs while Michael Andrew makes like Frank in front of the mic. You’ll hear “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “Fly Me To The Moon,” and, naturally, “New York, New York.”

Tickets are from $25 to $60 and there are several ways to purchase them, all listed here. Duluth Superior Symphony Hall is located at 350 Harbor Drive in Duluth.

Bring the kids

Beaner’s Central is doing it again this year. It’ll be wall-to-wall music with 24 original bands performing, starting at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31 and goes on ‘til the ball drops. There will be prize giveaways too. It’s not often you can find a New Year’s Eve event for the whole family, so if you have one, bring ‘em along!

See the band lineup here. Beaner’s is located at 324 N. Central Avenue in Duluth. Call them for more information at 218-624-5957.

Whatever you end up doing on New Year’s Eve, the Kris Lindahl Team with RE/MAX Results wishes you a prosperous and peaceful 2016!
