Capt’n J’s Miniature Golf is a great place to spend the day and have a blast with the whole family. It’s a cute little miniature golf destination located in the historic, beautiful Barkers Island of Superior, WI. Enjoy 18 holes with your family, friends, the kids or even for a corporate outing.

It’s been serving the area for years and is a good chance to enjoy a light-hearted game of golf for those that don’t want to play on a championship course like Nemadji’s course. After a day of fishing on the Charter Fishing boats, visiting the Great Lakes Aquarium, the Lake Superior Zoo and the views at Pattison Park, grab the whole gang and enjoy 18 holes at Capt’n J’s in Barkers Island. Here is a look at what you can expect.

It’s located at 10 Marina Drive in Superior, WI and features some sights to be seen. Start with the giant blue “Welcome Enjoy” painted sign on the concrete as you arrive. Head up to the green shack where you’ll get your clubs and you can grab a soda from the Coke machine. As you look ahead, you won’t be able to miss the giant ship on the course!

This is Capt’n J’s S.S. Meteor whaleback ship built in 1896 and its one of the last of its kind that still exists today. Capt’n J is nestled right next to the ship and the course offers beautiful views of the ship, Downtown Duluth and the Superior Harbor.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon playing miniature golf or make it a beautiful evening under the lights. They are open 10am to 10pm every day from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day and then a few weeks before and after, they are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday when weather is permitting.

It costs $5 per round and children under 5 years old are free with a paid adult. One child is permitted free per paid adult and you can enjoy special group rates for special occasions and birthdays.

Check out Capt’n J’s in Barkers Island just off Hwy 2/53 alongside the giant SS Meteor Tour Ship. It’s over the small bridge going onto Barkers Island on the left. You’ll love the challenges at each hole, the open course letting the sunlight shine down and the amazing ship at the course.
