Found in Biwabik, Minnesota, Giants Ridge is home to the historic Mesabi Trail and is known for the Bavarian style found throughout. It has become a year-round center for fun, events and so much more. This attraction hosts thousands of skiers, golfers, snowmobilers and other recreation seekers every year.

Giants Ridge hosts the area’s largest Calithumpain Fourth of July Parade and they also host the Weihnachtsfest. It's also a great place to go for Christmas lights, music, entertainment and ethnic food. Here's what you will find at Giants Ridge.

Summer Fun

The summer begins in April at Giants Ridge and many activities come alive. It becomes a very popular spot for runners and walkers, along with hikers, golfers and many others looking to enjoy time outside. Running and walking is done on the paved Mesabi Trail, along with other cross country trails.

The golf is one of the big draws of the area with two fine courses: The Legend and The Quarry. It's considered one of the top destinations for golf in Minnesota and provides instruction, tournaments and golf group tee times.

Winter Fun

In the winter, more than 2,000 miles of groomed trails are ready for snowmobiling. Giants Ridge is also one of the top recreation areas in the Midwest for sliding, ice fishing, skiing, snowboarding and many other winter activities.

Along with both the winter and the summer activities, Giants Ridge is home to dining options, spa treatments, Terrain parks and more. It's one of the top recreation destinations found in all of Minnesota with plenty to enjoy year-round.

Location

Giants Ridge is found about an hour and 20 minutes from Duluth. You can take County Highway 4 or you can choose a slightly longer route by taking US-53 N. Either road will take you to Giants Ridge and get you there in less than 90 minutes.
