Zeitgeist Arts is the center for theater and community. It’s a 120-seat performance theater in the Zeitgeist Arts Building, home of the iconic Renegade Theater Company. They have six main stages for productions that take places all year round. In addition, they offer Improv comedy performances, host concerts, parties and even fundraisers. About Zeitgeist Arts
Zeitgesit Arts is a theatre located inside the Zeitgeist Arts building in Duluth. Home to the Renegade Theater Company, the Renegade is able to produce six main stage shows annually and feature Improv comedy on Friday and Saturday nights at 10:30pm. The theater company works to enlighten, entertain and inspire the community through storytelling, imaginative new works and support for local talent.
What to expect
In addition to Improv and performances, you can check out CD release shows at Teatro Zuccone, concerts, dance shows, fundraisers, conferences, parties, storytelling showcases, poetry and much more.
Recent performances have included “The Great Gatsby” from April 2nd through the 18th at 8pm telling the story by F. Scott Fitzgerald adapted for the stage. Coming soon you can check out Nerd Nite: 2nd Winter on April 13th and “ALZ We Want To Do Is Laugh: Comedy Fundraiser to Fight Alzheimers” on April 23rd at 6pm.
Teatro Zuccone is always looking for volunteers and for participants in the Usher Program. Volunteers are great for those that have been a stage manager before, those with a special talent for building sets and those that want to be a part of the theater. Ushers can volunteer once a month and watch the performance once everyone is seated.
You can also use the space for rentals, conferences, meetings and performances. They can seat 120 people and rental fees vary on time and duration. You’ll have access to the in-house sound system, 10 foot screen, front HD projector and more.
