Cafe Spotlight: New Scenic Café

The New Scenic Café is Duluth’s favorite place to eat for a serene dining experience. It’s easy to reach if you drive along the North Shore of Lake Superior between Duluth and Two Harbors. The café is nestled behind a garden that is growing vegetables and herbs along with fragrant flowers.

It opened in 1999 and the Scott Graden’s New Scenic Café has continued to grow with customers hearing about the serene dining experience with unique menu options and excellent service. if you want to experience this awesome restaurant concept, check out the New Scenic Café in Duluth.

What to Expect

The restaurant is located at 5461 North Shore Drive in Duluth where chef and proprietor Scott Graden works to create the unique cuisine. If you’re coming from downtown Duluth, follow I-35 North, turn right on London Road until you reach Scenic Highway 61 a few miles down. Continue northeast on for 7.7 miles after you see the entrance to Brighton Beach and that’s when you’ll reach New Scenic Café. It’s only 8 miles from the east edge of Duluth on the north shore of Lake Superior.

The restaurant is open all week with lunch starting at 11am. The restaurant closes at 9pm Sunday through Thursday and 10pm on Friday and Saturday. The full menu is served all day so that you can enjoy a late lunch if you’d like, an early dinner or whatever works for your schedule. You can make a reservation for your special event or groups of 12 or more. Check out Wednesdays for half price wine.

Menu

The menu features everything from soups and salads to sandwiches and heavy entrees. Try a baby kale salad, a heirloom tomato caprese with the soup of the day and some fresh bread. Try the grouper, rack of lamb, gnocchi, or beef tenderloin for your entrée or enjoy a lighter sandwich option like the hamburger, ratatouille or grilled peach & prosciutto. Pair it with wine, beer, or spirits before enjoying the rhubarb tart or lemon & lavender cake for dessert.
