Sure, we’re smack dab in the middle of a gorgeous Duluth summer, but next month we’ll start thinking about September 8, the first day of school for our kids.
Duluth Public Schools, ISD 709, teaches more than 10,000 with 9 elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools.
The Kris Lindahl Team understands that when parents of school-age children shop for a home, knowing all they can about the local school districts is important. Even those without children should consider buying a home in close proximity to a quality school as these homes tend to hold their values better than homes near poor-performing schools.
This month we’re featuring Congdon Park Elementary School, located near the shores of Lake Superior in east Duluth. The school serves 533 students with a student/teacher ratio of 21.6 to 1, which is a bit high for the district.
This hasn’t stopped the school from achieving Blue Ribbon status, however.
Congdon Park features a remodeled media lab and computer center and science labs. The school also offers comprehensive educational programs for students with disabilities.
