- Guidance and support to help students learn responsibility, citizenship and respect
- Parent and community partnerships to support education
Stowe also features a media center, clubs and after-school programs.
Stowe Ratings and Test Scores
School ratings website SchoolDigger.com gives Stowe one star out of a possible five and ranks it at 615th of 806 Minnesota public elementary schools. GreatSchools.org awards Stowe three out of a possible 10 stars.
Parents praise the school for its friendly staff and the welcoming environment it provides to parents.
Although the school’s fifth graders improved their scores on the math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments Series II (MCA-III), in 2015 they lagged both the district and the state. Just a bit more than 48 percent of Stowe’s fifth graders met or exceeded the state’s standard for math, while 64.6 of the district’s students and 59.7 of the state’s met or exceeded them.
These same fifth grade students fare better on the reading portion but still fell short of the district and state averages.
