A dynamic new project is in the works for a prime piece of real estate on Duluth’s lakefront, which aims to be one of the premier new developments to hit the area in recent memory. Located at the corner of 21st Avenue E and London Road, construction for Endi is now in full swing, and if all goes according to plan, the 252,000 square foot residential and retail complex will make its official debut later this year.
In all, Endi, which is named for its location in Duluth’s historic Endion neighborhood, occupies about 2.7 acres and will stand six stories high while housing 143 ultra-luxurious residential units. Apartments at Endi will include a number of different floor plans, ranging from studios to penthouses, with some of its upper floor residences overlooking beautiful Lake Superior.
According to developers, Endi apartments should be ready for occupancy before the end of the year with hopes that retailers should be able to open sometime by October 1st. As of now, Caribou Coffee, Bruegger’s Bagels, and Papa Murphy’s Pizza have all signed leases within the Endi development, and two more leases with non-food-business are also being finalized.
As for the residential units, look for Endi apartments to have between 1,200 and 3,500 square feet of living space, with rent prices somewhere between $1,000 and $4,000 per month. Amenities will include a fitness center, a clubroom, indoor garage parking, a dog walking area, a tech center, and an outdoor terrace with a bocce ball court and other game/activity areas.
