Duluth’s June 2015 calendar of events is packed with outdoorsy, fitness-related stuff. But there are also things for the couch potato among us!
June 3rd - June 7th
Duluth Superior Film Festival
If you’re a fan if indie films, this is your change to pig out on them over a period of five days. The festival is full of other events as well, including music performances, panel discussions, workshops and parties. Admission is free and events are location at various venues around town. June 12th - June 14th
Bike MS: C.H. Robinson MS 150 Ride
Cyclists are invited to bike for a cause in the Bike MS event coming to Duluth on June 12. Get your team together now to help raise money for MS and bike from Duluth to the Twin Cities. Organizers are expecting about 4,000 cyclists to hit the Willard Munger Trail, overnight in Hinckley and continue on to the finish. The total distance of the ride is 150 miles. 2nd Annual Color4Hope 5K Fun Run & Walk
Another fundraiser in Duluth, this one benefits the Northland Campus of Mn Adult and Teen Challenge. The cost is $25 for teens and adults and $15 for kids age 6 through 12. Run or walk and then enjoy refreshments, activities and a chance to win some prizes. Registration is at 9:00 a.m. and the run/walk starts at 10.

June 19th - June 20th
Nine adult and five youth races highlight Grandma's Marathon weekend in Duluth.
More than 100 vendors will also be on hand to help you find out what’s new in the world of health and fitness, you can load up on carbs at the All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner, listen to lots of live music and more. Find the full calendar of events online.
CHUM's 11th Annual Rhubarb Festival
Our mouths are watering at the thought of strawberry rhubarb pie, but that’s not all you can enjoy at the Annual Rhubarb Festival. They’ll even have rhubarb brats and rhubarb burritos to try. Bring the kids for the games, crafts and live music. Admission is free and it’s held at 11th Avenue East & London Road in Duluth. Get details online or by calling 218-722-6042.
The Gala of the Royal Horses
Time: 7:30 pm
Duluth is the site of the U.S. debut of the Gala of the Royal Horses. Here you’ll see amazing horses doing amazing things. The gala features Andalusian, Lipizzaner, Friesian and Arabian breeds, dancing alongside Flamenco dancers, showing off their other maneuvers, including “The Airs above the Ground.”
