Lake Superior Zoo
The Lake Superior Zoo can be found across Grand Avenue from the railroad. The animals waiting to be seen are the top hit but you can also enjoy the zoo’s beautiful park, 16-acres in size. The park is situated on the banks of Kingsbury Creek and the base of Spirit Mountain. You’ll see wildlife, waterfalls and you can enjoy the bridges and hiking trails.
Speaking of Spirit Mountain, check it out for year-round adventure and outdoor fun. You’ll love the “Timber Flyer” Zip Line and the “Timber Twist” an Alpine Coaster. They have 9-hole mini golf and a 6-lane tubing park seasonally too.
Historic Wade Stadium
When you’re ready to check out a baseball game, check out Historic Wade Stadium to see the Duluth Huskies. Afterwards, grab a bite to eat at a great nearby restaurant.
Great Lakes Aquarium
For a hands-on experience, check out the Great Lakes Aquarium to explore the animals of the ecosystems of the Great Lakes and beyond. You can check out over 70 species of reptiles, fish, birds and mammals.
